- Identifying what local services are provided
Looking at how a Trust is dealing with a particular
issue

Working with other forums on an issue particular to
your region

Making reports and recommendations on the range
and day to day delivery of health services.

Monitoring the effectiveness of
local Patient Advice and Liaison
Services (PALS)

Forums will review how well PALS
are working to help patients

Complaints:
The patient forums and the
Commission are closely involved with
independent complaints advocacy
support (ICAS)
